Fine Tooth Starter Gear for Front Starter System

Front Starter Systems on Corvairs utilize a Subaru Starter because it is one of the very few starters that turns in
the correct direction for the Corvair. In Subaru automobiles, the starter uses coarse teeth on the drive gear. To properly
mesh with the Ford Ring Gears in my Front Starter System, the coarse Subaru starter gear is replaced with this Fine Tooth
Gear, Part No. FS-3. The gears can be changed in five minutes, because they are a slip fit on a splined shaft and held in
by a snap ring. All Front Starter Systems utilizing the Ford Ring Gear will need a Starter equipped with this Fine Tooth Gear.
